Old Forest School exists to bring the Charlotte Mason method of education into community experiences. As the founder, I aim to build relationships with and encourage families currently homeschooling or considering it.

Charlotte Mason was a 19th-century British educator who developed an educational philosophy emphasizing teaching children as whole persons. Her method focuses on "living books" and real-life experiences to feed the mind the good ideas it needs to grow. Mason believed in the value of nature study, art, music, and handicrafts in education, and her approach encourages a broad and generous curriculum.
